Words: Truth or Lies

Everybody knows about the fictional character and story of Pinocchio, the wooden marionette who could move independently without the help of overhead wires because the wood he was made out of is supernaturally animated, Pinocchio’s character generally has a good disposition but he has a problem with the peer pressure of unsavory companions, this influence caused him to exaggerate which leads him to fabricate lies, and every time Pinocchio lies his nose grows bigger; there is more to the story and character of Pinocchio but the plot of this fictional character’s life is that he could not hide his prevarication because it exhibited upon the middle of his face.

Some people think that it is okay to lie, they have no problem saying one thing but meaning another, sometimes promises are made to family, friends and colleagues with no actual intent in executing the words spoken, a friend will make a commitment to lend a hand to help but when the time comes the expected hand does a vanishing act, a leader makes a vow that you will have a position in his office once your present situation changes but is puzzlingly silent once you are free to make the transition, at one time a man’s word used to be his bond, he meant what he said, but today a man’s word is like a cheap cigar, you can puff it to make it smoke but the aroma makes you plug your nose.

You may presume the natural man to twist the truth, to make promises he has no intention of keeping, because his words are hatched from an unregenerate heart, his spirit is still being led by the sinful nature, sometimes he doesn’t even realize that he is lying because his soul has no one to guide him, his ear is still natural, his perception is guided by darkness, his understanding has no Godly discernment, he is still living in a consciousness where he thinks good is evil and evil is good, when he lies he is just speaking like his father who is the father of all lies.

You do not expect a spiritual man to say anything but truth, you depend that his words are always going to be honest and truthful, you believe that he will never deceive you and that his promises you can count on, if he makes a promise you  are sure that he will keep it even if it is hard to fulfill that promise, you would never expect him to go back on his word, the believer is supposed to have the Holy Spirit dwelling within their spirit who works to check us and lead us into all righteousness, a righteous man should not lie and if he does then he must make it right before God and the person whom he deceived.

On Friday, September 07, 2018, the former United States President, Barack Hussein Obama, gave a speech to the students at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), and then again on Saturday he rallied the Democratic Party faithful at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim California; Saturday’s event was an invitation-only affair.

As was to be expected, the former POTUS took potshots at Donald Trump on Friday before the students at UIUC, Trump bashing is as common with the Left as ice-cream is with apple pie but it is usually not something that former presidents do with their incumbents, but we are looking at a bitter Democratic Party that is still seething because they lost the 2016 Presidential election, and especially because they lost it to a man they thought would have gave Hillary Rodham Clinton the US Presidency in the bag.

Obama used the platform of his first back-on-the-road political speech from Illinois to speak nationwide  to the  American electorate, to express his and the Democratic Parties deep-seated sentiments towards the Donald Trump Presidency, he expressed in speech many things that I am sure have weighed on his chest for the past year and eight months, but were the things he aired to the audience true, were the words the former president  spoke accurate, if you only listen to leftwing propaganda then you would say his words were true, but if you listen to the facts and are in touch with reality you would know that if Obama was Pinocchio then his Trump rant and many other things he said would have made his nose grow.

Most politicians are known for the words they speak more than for the actual work they do, some can speak aristocratic like Barack Obama, and some are not so genteel like the current President, Donald Trump, who is accused of by the American press as anything but polite, but it does not matter how eloquent a politician speaks what matters is if the speeches he gives are either true or fake, his discourse can only be one of the two, there is no middle ground, there is no grey areas when a person speaks, what comes from a man’s mouth is either black or white, his words express either truth or lies, when an audience has heard a politician’s address they go away believing what they heard was either truth or fabrication.

Words are important, they can be positive or they can be negative, words can speak life or they can speak death, words can be deceitful or they can penetrate the heart purely with honesty, words can be smooth like creamy peanut butter but still come from a sour heart, a man can give a speech that wins your heart but once your back is turned he can plan to do you harm.

Today many church leaders are like politicians, some will only engage with you when they want you to do something, when they think they can use you, like a politician that will only shake your hand when he wants you to vote for him, the politician will kiss the babies to make himself look like he cares for his constituents, the church leader will weep gushing crocodile tears as he broadcasts his false love for the congregation, this is not a popular thing to say and there may be consequences to my candor, but only a church leader that is like a politician will react with anger, you can tell who the church leaders are that are building the members of God’s house upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, as you can also recognize the church leaders that treat the members of God’s household like they are still strangers and foreigners, many leaders forget that they are only stewards of God’s household and forget that the members belong to Jesus Christ.

When a believer in Christ makes a promise, they must then do what they can to keep that promise, when he gives his word he should then perform it, unfortunately many that believe in Christ make promises and instead of moving heaven and earth to achieve their obligation just let it fall by the wayside thereby breaking their word, if an unbeliever makes a commitment or gives his word and then he breaks his agreement and does not  keep his word it is common for some believer’s to be the first people to criticize the unbeliever, it is sometimes typical for a believer to say that the unbeliever cannot be trusted, how ironic it is that the believer thinks it is okay for him to break his word but on the other hand thinks the unbeliever is going to hell for being a liar, the believer should not say he will pray for another person and then not do it, he should not say to his brother or anybody else that he will do this or that and then not get around to doing what he undertook to do; who is the liar.

There is a record in the books of First kings and repeated in Second Chronicles about a meeting in the throne room of God, the Lord is discussing a battle strategy with all the host of heaven, these are certain angels of God assigned and trained to be warriors in the spiritual realm, the Lord’s plan is to bring an end to the life and rule of wicked King Ahab, he asks those that can hear during this meeting who will convince Israel’s King to attack Ramoth Gilead, a city east of the Jordan River that Israel lost previously in battle to Aram (Syria), because God has decreed that this is the place where Ahab’s life and rule of Israel will end.

The angels of God presented their suggestions before the Lord, but after a while a spirit steps forward and situates himself before the Lord of Hosts with an idea, the Scripture clearly says it was a spirit and not an angel, angels both holy and fallen had access into God’s presence even back in Job’s day, spirits and angels are distinguishable from one another,  this spirit must be aligned with Satan because this spirit is a lying spirit, I figure this lying spirit must be the inner being or pneuma  that lives forever of a dead Nephilim rather than the spirit of a man that has passed away, this lying spirit suggests that he will go and speak through King Ahab’s gang of false prophets, the Lord said this will work and sent the lying spirit to the prophets of Ahab to speak through them to entice the King to go into battle against the King of Aram, where his life and rule over Israel came to an end.

Does God sanction lying spirits today to go forth and lie through people, why would God use a lying spirit if God is the embodiment of truth, does a believer in Christ have the right to deceive others just because God sent a lying spirit to carry out a task in Ahab’s day, when a believer lies is it because a lying spirit was sent forth to speak deceit, is it okay for a believer to be dishonest?

The paragraph above are questions that I have in my mind when I put together this story of Ahab and the lying spirit, and the reason why believer’s in Christ would lie to one another or be dishonest even with an unbeliever, I cannot tell you how many times over my sanctified life that an unbeliever has said to me that the Christian they have as a neighbor or the religious freak they work with cannot be trusted because he lies, I cannot tell you how many times because I do not keep track how that certain brothers think it is okay to not keep their word to me, the Spirit of God must convict them of lying so why do they not make it right and accomplish the words they have promised even if it is not right away.

We are living in the day and age, the hours  in fact before the rapture of the Body of Christ, when the Scripture predicts that some  believers will turn away from Christ as stated by the Holy Spirit, the Spirit unequivocally declares that they will turn from Christ and turn their attention to spirits of deception, spirits that are quite similar to the lying spirit back in King Ahab’s day, these believers will also give heed to the instructions of demonic deities like the fallen angels, the doctrine of devils that some will turn to come out of the mouths of fake ministers  that speak lies rather than the truth.

When a believer lies and does not repent, he does not make it right, it is because his conscience is seared, he either is not aware that he is lying anymore because he does it so often or he just does not see the need to set it right, because he believes that speaking lies rather than the truth is okay in some cases, after following this rule for some time the believer does not know right from wrong anymore, a lying spirit has attached itself to the lying believer and when it is appropriate to not tell the truth the lying spirit dominates the words that come out of the lying believer’s mouth.

The unbeliever follows his father who is the devil, they actually cannot help themselves because they have no power to do otherwise whether they believe it or not, there is no truth in Lucifer as he gave that purity up long ago, when he lies he speaks his own tongue because he is a liar and the patriarch or the old man of every lie, yet the believer makes a choice when they lie, they are taking a willful position when they lie and that is they choose to abide by the direction of the devil, when the believer makes the choice to tell the truth then he is choosing to remain in the truth of God the Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
