The West is Ripe for the Picking

            Today more than fifty world leaders walked arm an arm, looking like a chained link fence, as they made their way down Voltaire Boulevard in the city of Paris, among them were an estimated one point five million people throughout the rest of the city, with an additional one to two million more across the country of France, marching in solidarity to honour the victims of the Islamic terrorist massacre in the city this past week.

            In the crowds were a group of citizens carry a plastic pencil over their heads that read ‘not afraid’ which I am sure struck fear in the hearts of every soldier of the Jihad. I am not making light about this prop used to reveal their sudden display of courage, but it is ironic that it took the death of some satirical cartoonists and others for these leaders and the people to come out and be united. Up until today they have projected only fear and have been reluctant to do anything about the terror these Islamists are perpetrating across the planet.

            I could not help but notice the countenances of almost every one of these world leaders, while watching them on the television as they marched down Voltaire Boulevard, they had the expression of fear on their faces; I read one report that said they had somber faces. Why the fearful expression, the dismal look on their faces, is it because they were expressing grief for the people who were gunned down in Paris and lost their lives, one would hope so. But how many people have been felled at the hands of these violent and brutal Islamists already, before these unfortunate individuals who were slaughtered in the City of Light (La Ville Lumière), did they reveal this cloudy look for them while giving press conferences or while out giving speeches in public prior to this?  No, I perceive the look on their faces today reveal that the Western World leaders do not know what to do about this global threat, they have done almost nothing to stop it, they have let it grow to the point now where it is coming back and biting them, and biting them hard.

            The Western world, its leaders and many of their citizens, along with much of its media, are fearful of the Jihadist and the religion these terrorists use as their reason for their violent and brutal acts. Most of these Western leaders will not even call the destruction of life by these evil people for what it really is, Islamic terrorism, Jihad in the name of their god, because they are afraid that it will offend someone and cause the terror to only increase, so they try to appease this movement with niceties pretending that they sympathize with their struggles; this wimpy behaviour is not working. The West has put itself in the position for a new leader, a leader who will unite these sovereign nations together and create a new union, you may have heard of it before, a new world order, a one world government—the West is ripe for the picking.

            This one world government is really already here, it is in the shadows, and the man who will lead this new world order is very close to being assigned to this position; he will be announced and presented to the West very soon. The world leaders and their citizens will for the most part accept this new leader because he will come off as victorious over his enemies and doing it without war at first (Rev.6:2). This leader will find a solution to the Middle East crisis and procure a covenant of peace between Israel and the Palestinians (Dan.9:27a), but be very careful Israel, because he will deceive you and break this peace treaty in the middle of its duration (Dan.9:27b). Will he bring an end to this global terror that now plagues this planet, he will certainly take credit for it, the Jihadist will see him as the one they have been waiting for and will certainly pledge allegiance to him (Rev.13:1-8). They will give this leader their full submission because of another man who will be working hand in hand with this new leader, he will take care of the religious needs of the people whom the one world leader will have authority over, by forcing the inhabitants of the earth to worship him (Rev.13:11-12).

            Thank God that he has promised that every person who puts their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord will be taken off the earth before this leader comes to power (1Thess.4:16-17; 2Thess.2:1-12), furthermore he commands that we pray that we do escape this time that is soon to come (Lk.21:26). If we actively pursue to keep the word of the Lord right now, while all this chaos is taking place, and not deny the name of Jesus Christ, God will then keep us from the duration of time that this one world leader will have supreme authority on this earth (Rev.3:8, 10-11), whom the leaders of this world are waiting for because they are fearful to do something forceful to fight and stop the evil that is taking place.
