The Trumpet is Ready to Sound

I love sitting on my favourite park bench meditating and pouring out my heart to God.

I realize that I can do this anywhere but in this particular park I seem to have the ability to focus more on the task at hand, and my heart is able to receive the peace that I seek more easily; without much effort.

Sometimes praying to him can be a task, it is a function of faith we must go through, and is required to receive the answers we look for that only Jehovah-Jireh can supply.

Today in my place of quietude I see this woman walking her dog—or at least I assume it belongs to her.

As she was walking the animal she didn't seem to have her attention on the pooch but instead on her hand held mobile device.

Her nose was deeply planted on whatever it was on the screen and not for one second did she lift her eyes off of it.

I had to put on pause what I was doing to watch this lady because I found the situation very interesting.

The earth could have opened up before her and she would not have noticed until she fell into the hole, because whatever was on the screen of that device had all of her interest.

She was mesmerized.

Her dog made every attempt to dissuade her concentration from this tiny marvel of technology without the slightness bit of success, the dog likely felt betrayed by a piece of metal and plastic; that is if dogs have the ability to sense betrayal.

I am not sure.

This woman was able to block out everything around her, even her best friend, the cute little hound on a leash, which caused me to then relate this situation to what most of the Christian world is doing right now; which is ignoring the signs of the times.

I sometimes wonder how come many of those who ostensibly believe in the bible, and claim they have a good understanding of what God is saying in it, yet they are blind to the signs that are written in it declaring that the rapture of the Church is at any hour now.

These same individuals get their back up when this topic is even mentioned.

Next thing you hear is, nobody knows the day and hour, as they use the only Scripture verse they seem to know about the end-times; hoping to kill the subject before it even gets started.

They do not even know that they are misinterpreting these words.

Jesus did prophesy the generation when the second coming will happen, in Matthew chapter twenty four, and Paul writes the rapture will happen before that, in 2Thessalonians.

I suppose some people have their own agenda that unfortunately leaves them with the inability to interpret Christ’s prophesy correctly.

Jesus prophesied that the same generation that witnessed Israel’s rebirth as a nation will also witness the return of Israel’s Messiah to the earth (Matt.24:32-34).

The second coming as it is referred to (Matt.24:30-31; Rev.1:7; 19:11-16).

Of course this prophesy was revealed using parabolic language so some may not understand; this by the Lord's design.

The Scriptures declare that once Israel is a sovereign nation again, this happened in May 1948, then the coming of the Lord to rescue and bring salvation to the Jewish remnant will happen not long after this historic event (Dan.9:24; Matt.24:30-31; Rev.19:11-21).

As a matter of fact, the rapture of the Church will happen at least seven biblical years before the second coming takes place.

The rapture will occur before the seven year tribulation period begins because this seven year period is all about the nation of Israel, and has nothing to do with the Church of Christ (Dan.9:26b-27).

This time period has nothing to do with the Church because God is using this last seven years of a decreed 490 year period to being Israel into a right relationship with the Lord (Dan.9:24).

This seven year period is referred to as the time of Jacob's trouble, or Israel's tribulation period (Jer.30:7)

God's promise to the followers of Christ is that we will be taken up into heaven before the seven year tribulation period, which is coming to test the world, it is the hour of trial (Rom.2:5; 5:9; Rev.3:10).

Indeed there will be people who will put their faith in God during this seven year period but they are technically not the Church but rather Tribulation Saints (Rev.6:9-11; 7:9-17).

The Tribulation Saints that are martyred during this seven years will rise from the dead after Christ’s second coming, at the start of the millennial reign, and will reign with Christ for one thousand years (Rev.20:4-6).

The Church of Jesus Christ rise from the dead at the rapture, those who have fallen asleep, and those who are still alive will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air (1Thess.4:13-18).

The Church will be given glorified bodies at this second so we can physically see God and live with him for all eternity (1Cor.15:51-52; 1Jn.3:2-3).

Many Church leaders are making big plans, but these plans do not include the coming of Christ to rapture the Church.

Their plans are to build new edifices and hold big rallies of prayer, to try and convince God to bless the land so they can live on the earth in peace until they die.

They hope for long life on the earth and pray to die a natural death so they can enjoy all this world has to offer.

God forbid the possibility of martyrdom or the rapture because they associate these with having life stolen from them.

You know it's true.

This would be all good if the rapture was not so near, but because it is so near is there not any preparation for it?

Once the trumpet sounds we leave everything behind, everything we have built up on the earth, the big ministries, and the large edifices that took millions of dollars to erect just so there would be a monument to the Church leaders.

Many want to be famous as a great Church leader, but to me the only one renowned is Jesus.

Are we all not only obeying what we have been called to do?

If prophecy declares that the rapture is so near why do you act like it will not happen in your lifetime?

Why are you preparing to hold big prayer meetings, trying to get politicians elected who will change the spiritual dynamics of the nation?

The bible reveals the spiritual dynamics before Christ’s coming will be just as they are right now, an absolutely antichrist era; at epic proportions.

Do you not notice the signs of the times?

Many are so focused on the things of this world, just like the woman who could not lift her nose up off of her mobile device, which hinders their understanding of the signs of the times.

Lift your head up and look around because the trumpet is ready to sound.
